    YBIS student population comprises of many different nationalities and varied childhood environments. Indian, American, Singaporean, Malaysian, British, Canada, Hungary, Sri Lankan, Bangladeshi, New Zealander, Pakistani, Afghan, Australian and Filipino form the core of the student cohort. Students from various parts of the globe often join our school and adapt to our environment with ease with due credits to our pastoral counselling done by the form teachers that include appropriate buddy and student support systems. YBIS is also fortunate to tutor students with a multitude of interests.

    Preschool Curriculum

    Preschool at Yuvabharathi is of two streams. YBIS Montessori and YBIS Kindergarten which cater to the age group of 3 + years ( Montessori 1 and Kindergarten 1) and 4 + years ( Montessori 2 and Kindergarten 2)

    YBIS Montessori

    YBIS Montessori is a unique programme based on self-directed activity, hands-on learning, community responsibility and collaborative play. The programme is grounded on the traditional Montessori principles of multi-sensory and sequential learning. It is conspicuously designed to suit individual pace on one hand and on the other caters common lesson plans as well. Our Montessori classrooms are vibrant labs that foster each child to make creative choices in learning.

    YBIS Kindergarten

    YBIS Kindergarten is a programme that aims to provide a welcoming and caring environment which values diversity, promotes equal opportunities that are required for their formative development. Children gradually learn to adapt to work in groups and explore with the sense of inquiry with their teacher facilitating a joyous learning experience.

    Both streams are self-developed and closely monitor children’s advancement, needs, interest, abilities and learning styles through continuous and periodic assessments. Every activity of the child is recorded and posted to parents through weekly updates. These programmes also collaborate themes with celebrations that promulgates harmony. Participation in community activities creates awareness and prepares them to become responsible citizens.

    CBSE curriculum for Class 1 – 12

    Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)

    The Central Board of Secondary Education caters to public as well as private schools governed by the Union Government of India, New Delhi.

    The prime focus of the Board is on:

    • Innovations in teaching-learning methodologies by devising students friendly and students centered paradigms
    • Reforms in examinations and evaluation practices.
    • Skill learning by adding job-oriented and job-linked inputs
    • Regularly updating the pedagogical skills of the teachers and administrators by conducting in service training programmes, workshops etc.
