In order to regulate the private education sector in Singapore, SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) has been established under the Private Education Act 2009. All Private Education Institutes (PEIs) are required to comply with the regulations under the new Act.

EduTrust Certification

The EduTrust Certification Scheme (EduTrust) is a quality assurance scheme administered by SSG for Private Education Institutions (PEIs) in Singapore. This award is given to private schools that maintain a high standard of quality in education services and continuous improvement. Only EduTrust-certified PEIs can enrol international students requiring Student Passes.

Yuvabharathi International School (PEI) has satisfied the EduTrust certification requirements. This certification is valid for 4 years.

Student Contract

The Student Contract governs the relationship between the Private Education Institution (PEI) and the student. Students must understand and agree before signing. It must be signed before course fee payment.

The contract includes course details, fees, refund policy, insurance, and legal information.

Fee Protection Scheme (FPS)

YBIS provides insurance to protect student fees as required by SSG. FPS is mandatory.

Protected Fees

Course fees under the PEI-Student Contract are protected, excluding application and miscellaneous fees.

YBIS declares monthly fee collection to the insurance company.

Insured Events

• Loss of fees due to closure or insolvency
• Failure to pay awarded sums
• Death or disability by accident

Claims must be submitted with required documents as soon as possible.

YBIS provides medical insurance for all students under EduTrust requirements.
